Lara's goal
Lara’s goal with every meal around family and friends is to create a memory. From a young age, she remembers making cinnamon buns with her mom, eating plums in a combine with her grandpa, or the smell of her grandma making fresh perogies. All food memories bring joy to her and she wants everyone to have that same experience.
Her culinary profession started out of high school, where she completed the two year diploma program at NAIT. She then put herself out there and attained a highly sought after position at Jack’s Grill. She learned what it truly took to make high quality food – respecting food and using all parts of animals and vegetables and creating flavour profiles that dance with every bite. Lara progressed at Jack’s, solidifying her position as the Pastry Chef, and eventually becoming the Sous Chef.
Cooking is Lara’s creative outlet, and she loves the whole process of creating menus, sourcing out recipes to mimic, she LOVES grocery shopping, but most of all, she loves private dinner parties, as she can communicate with others and get them to have an amazing food experience and to create a memory with their friends and family.
